Study Gives Hope of Reversing Age-Related Hearing Loss
Scientists may be closer to restoring hearing for some patients.

For many people, hearing loss treatment is about resources to cope rather than hearing restoration. But it may not be long before hearing health professionals can actually offer some patients an option to reverse their hearing loss.

Researchers in Boston recently made a breakthrough in using gene therapies to treat genetic hearing loss in mice. They’re hoping their findings will translate to addressing hearing loss in humans.
