Kristen was born in Denver, but has lived all over the continental U.S., including Florida, Kentucky, and California. These days, she calls Louisiana home. Not surprisingly, given the unique natural beauty of each location where she has lived, Kristen loves the outdoors — even if it’s just stepping outside to tend to her garden and enjoy the fresh air.  

While she loves watching her plants grow, animal rescue has always been her true passion. She’s been involved with various organizations for over 20 years and has three dogs of her own.

Kristen joined the Sorenson family in December of 2021, attracted by how unique the job is. “It’s never boring, definitely keeps you on your toes! A new experience every day.”  

So far, she’s enjoyed the opportunity to help people connect. “As a captioning agent, I am able to help people, and hopefully make their lives a little bit easier, which makes my heart happy!” 

The other big upside? Working from home allows her to spend more time with her beloved pets.
