How to Set Up an Outbound Voicemail Message

Whether you’re out and about, not quick enough to get to the phone, or just simply don’t want to talk to whoever’s calling, some calls are going to go to voicemail. With CaptionCall, those messages get captioned just like regular phone calls, so missing or screening a call is nothing to worry about.

As with most voicemail systems, you have the option to record a unique outgoing greeting for your callers. And you can set the number of times your CaptionCall home phone rings before going to voicemail. Follow the step-by-step instructions below to customize your setup.

Setting the number of rings before going to voicemail

You can also set the number of times the phone will ring before going to voicemail. By default, the CaptionCall phone rings 3 times before going to voicemail. You can change this to give yourself more time to answer.

  1. Touch Settings. Scroll to touch Voice Messages under the SYSTEM settings.
  2. Touch the – or + buttons to decrease or increase the number of rings. You can choose between 2 and 10 rings before a call goes to voicemail.
