Another Resource for Your Patients: DAV’s Everyday Heroics

Rufus Brown, a Vietnam Veteran in Missouri was struggling with all three: hearing loss whose impact grew over years to the point that his family was financially strained by the time he received a disability rating, then major hurdles and errors that threatened to cut his disability benefits.
Stressed and overwhelmed, Brown’s family found help in the eleventh hour from an organization that understood their struggle and helped them appeal the decision to reduce Brown’s benefits: Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
DAV helps more than a million Veterans a year with a variety of needs, whether it’s a ride to a medical appointment or filing a claim for benefits. That’s why it’s one of the resources for Veterans we recommend through the Sound Off Project.
We’ll be at the DAV National Convention in Phoenix this August. If you’re going to be there, stop by our booth to catch up with the team and discuss more holistic ways to support patients.
