GlobalVRS Becomes Part of Sorenson

You may know that Global VRS announced this summer it would stop providing video relay service. Sorenson partnered with GlobalVRS, allowing it to continue serving its customers temporarily. At the same time, we’ve worked with the FCC to make sure there was no interruption for customers when GlobalVRS discontinued operations.
All remaining Global VRS customers have automatically transferred to Sorenson with no change to services or phone numbers. This includes DeafBlind services for customers who use braille readers. If you or someone you know needs DeafBlind VRS with a braille reader, they can sign up at icanconnect.org.
You can learn about the service and features Sorenson offers for Spanish language users and Spanish language interpreting on our Sorenson VRS for Spanish page.
While we’re sad to see our friends at GlobalVRS end their VRS operations, we’re proud to keep connecting the customers that meant so much to them. The continuation of this service is part of our shared mission to advance accessible services and technology to connect Deaf, DeafBlind, hard-of-hearing, and hearing people around the world.
