Meet Account Manager Casey Lipscomb

Casey Lipscomb joined the CaptionCall team in April 2023. Since then, she has been connecting with providers through a mutual desire to help patients communicate.

Casey says, “The best part of my job is helping people. It is incredibly rewarding when I talk to a patient that tells me how much they love CaptionCall and how it has helped them understand better over the phone. I’ve heard from so many patients that tell me they used to avoid talking on the phone and now they talk to everyone!”

Not only does Casey truly care about CaptionCall users, she’s a team player with providers and prides herself on consistent communication, timeliness, and follow-through on referrals. “I make sure each provider knows they can trust me to treat their patients with kindness, respect, and patience,” says Casey. “I want providers to know that we are a team with the shared goal of helping patients.”

In her experience, Casey says that the most common challenge for providers is finding the time to educate and refer their patients to the CaptionCall service. “I help with this by providing concise, easy to remember information and by making sure [providers] know how to refer easily through their software.” Casey also supplies brochures with her contact information in case a patient wants to reach out to her directly for assistance.

“In a relatively short period of time, my work with CaptionCall has become such an important part of who I am. I look forward to each day, knowing that I am helping someone improve their quality of life. I am proud of the work I do and proud of the company I work for. I feel truly blessed to have a career that aligns with my values and goals.”

Elaborating on not being alone in her commitment to patients and providers, Casey says “Being part of an incredibly committed and hard-working team of CaptionCall professionals enables me to do my best work. I know that I can count on everyone I work with to help take exceptional care of each person we help.”

Outside of work, Casey enjoys reading, jogging, and spending time with her children. She also has a creative side that she exercises by creating her own beach-inspired resin jewelry and performing in local theater productions.

Meet Trainer Donna Duggins

For the past two and a half years, Donna Duggins has been helping customers with their CaptionCall installations and service. “The best part of my job is meeting the people and leaving knowing I have helped them with something that will improve their daily life,” says Donna.

During her training with customers, Donna likes to gather customer feedback. She says the most common challenge customers face is not understanding words while people are speaking and getting audio feedback while using the phone with their hearing aids. However, Donna is quick to help her customers overcome any challenges.

“I heard someone say years ago, you have no value to your customer unless they know how much you care. I listen to the issues they are encountering with their hearing and tailor the training to address those issues.”

Donna credits her success as a trainer to her organizational skills, resourcefulness, staying true to her personal and professional values, and motivation from customers. “The feeling I receive when helping someone helps me thrive and push to do better. It helps to have a position you love! My work gives me purpose and, more importantly, a chance to be of service by using my skills and talents to impact and improve others’ lives.”

Donna is also an advocate against animal abuse and is active in animal rescue. She has three “rotten dogs” and a “crazy cat” of her own, who are part of the family with her spouse, two grown sons, and granddaughter. When she’s not spreading kindness at work, home, or with animals, you can find Donna outside swimming, boating, gardening, and attending rock concerts.

Trainers like Donna are a key element of CaptionCall’s Red Carpet Service.
