End of Landline Phones? CaptionCall Can Work Without Landline Phone Service
If landline phones are phased out, CaptionCall can still connect people who need captioned calls.

That functionality is more important than ever as some phone service providers have started discussing the idea of discontinuing landlines. Last year, AT&T asked California authorities for permission to stop offering landline phone service as more people shift to mobile phone plans. However, 27% of American households use a landline phone, and the majority of them are people over 65 — the same group that most heavily relies on captioned landline phones.

However, even if traditional landline service fades away, your patients who need captioned calls because of their hearing loss can still get CaptionCall service — and not only via the CaptionCall Mobile app.

For years, CaptionCall has been connecting customers with call captioning for traditional home phone service via either landline phone service, high-speed internet, or mobile phone data service.
