Christian Combines Captioning and College

Christian has been working with CaptionCall since October of 2021. Staying organized and working from home has enabled her to attend school while working as a Captioning Agent. An interest in serving the hearing loss community drew her to Sorenson — and CaptionCall. Christian recently graduated with her bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language Interpreting. “What led me to becoming a captioning agent was that it was related to the Deaf community and the field of study that I have been attending college for,” says Christian. “My experience with CaptionCall has been a positive one. Everyone that I have worked with has always been kind and supportive and willing to help with anything I needed. The best part of my job is helping our customers be able to have full access to what is being spoken to them over the telephone. Just as with interpreting, what inspires and helps me to connect with our users is the ability to provide equal access to communication, so that everyone can feel involved and connected.”
