After Hours, Your Captioning Agent Shares Cheetos with Her Bunny

Spencer joined CaptionCall about two-and-a-half years ago after a friend told her about what we do. She says she was excited about the mission, the focus on quality, and the chance to make a difference every day.

Wanting so much to make people’s lives a little easier through her work makes it that much harder to hear people try to do harm over the phone. Spencer says the most difficult part of being a captioning agent is handling calls where it’s clear — to her — that someone is trying to take advantage of our customers.*

“What I like most about what I do is knowing, at the end of the day, that I might have made someone else’s day a little easier. There are problems that we all face in daily life, and having a job that focuses on communication is one that I value greatly.”
