Video Relay Service Tip: Making the Best of VRS Calls

Your VRS experience is always best when it’s smooth for everyone involved: you, the hearing person, and the interpreter.
Here are some tips we recommend:
- Be prepared. Have everything you need for the call with you.
- Team with your interpreter. Give them context to quickly understand what the call is about or let them know it’ll be a long call.
- Choose your preference. With some calls, you may prefer to have an interpreter of a specific gender. Ask to switch interpreters if needed.
With these top tips, we hope you notice your VRS calls go smoother.
