Visibility and awareness are essential to bring about greater change in the community. That’s why we were happy to have Senior Product Manager Christina Call and Senior VP of Outreach Brian Smith — along with a Sorenson interpreter — on Tech Impact to talk about the impact of our communication solutions for deaf and hard-of-hearing communities.
They did a great job of pointing out that our products don’t serve only the deaf — they also serve the hearing and hard-of-hearing as all users make connections, create linguistic parity, and strengthen workplaces.
Christina helped develop some of Sorenson’s recent products, Sorenson VRS for Zoom and Sorenson Express VRI, that offer Deaf and hard-of-hearing people greater accessibility to employment, communication with family and friends, and service in retail and commercial spaces.
Deaf and hard-of-hearing people who prefer to speak on the phone get similar access through fast, accurate captions of phone conversations with CaptionCall and CaptionCall Mobile.
Tech Impact may need to do a follow-up with Sorenson when they find out about the new products we’re working on 😉
